The Ethernet Routing Switch 4500 series (ERS 4500) provides genuine resilient stacking, Layer 2 switching and dynamic Layer 3 RIP and OSPF routing, and advanced convergence features. This enables the ERS 4500 series to deliver the scalability and resiliency required by today's application-driven enterprise networks while reducing total operational costs. Indeed, ERS 4500 models are up to 40% more energy efficient than competitive products, ensuring superior total cost of ownership.

Avaya's industry-leading resilient Stackable Chassis provides high-availability for delay-sensitive and business-critical data and voice applications. Up to eight Ethernet Routing Switch 5000 units can form a resilient Stacked solution, manageable as a single entity, of up to 400 ports, with maximized uptime even if an individual Switch within the Stack should fail.

The Ethernet Routing Switch 5500 Series (ERS 5500) currently includes five distinct models. Two high-performance 10/100/1000 models offer either 24- or 48-ports including two Combo 1000BASE-T/SFP uplinks ports. Then there are the high-performance models that deliver standards-based Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) 10/100/1000 in 24- or 48-ports variants including four combo 1000BASET/SFP uplinks ports. And lastly, the model that rounds out the portfolio delivers 24 ports of 10/100/1000, including 12 combo ports of 1000BASE-T/SFP uplinks ports, plus two 10GBASE-XFP slots (see table below for more information). All models support power resiliency via the external Redundant Power Supply 15 solution.

The Ethernet Routing Switch 5600 Series (ERS 5600) currently includes five different models. Two high-performance, ultra-density 96-port 10/100/1000 models — one with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support on all ports — dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet XFP uplinks, and deployable with up to three modular, field-replaceable power supplies for N+1 redundancy and/or full Class 3 PoE power. Two 48-port models providing fully non-blocking performance with dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks, and are available as PoE and non-PoE versions. An all-pluggable model rounds out the portfolio, delivering 24 slots for 100/1000BASE-SFP Transceivers and eight 10GBASE-XFP slots (see to Table 1 for more information).
